Keaton Parks, another debut by the hand of Rui Vitória

The midfielder Keaton Parks, with 20 years of age, is the latest youngster that made his debut in Benfica's first team by the hand of Rui Vitória.

After having played for Varzim in 2016/17, the midfielder arrived at Benfica in the start of this season to played for the B team. He slowly established himself in the team led by Hélder Cristóvão, as result of the good work shown in training and in the matches.

He has currently completed 12 matches and scored two goals for Benfica's B team. 

With 1-0 at the scoreboard, in the 71st minute, Rui Vitória decided it was time to reinforced the midfield and handed Keaton Parks his debut. He replaced Pizzi. This work of launch of young players made in Caixa Futebol Campus is not something new for the coach.

"Is another sign of the work that is done at Benfica", said Rui Vitória to BTV, describing Keaton Parks as "a quality player" who entered the team" as if he already played there for a long time.".

Since 2015/16, the season in which Rui Vitória arrived at the Club, were launched or developed 12 young players. They are: Ederson, Bruno Varela, Nélson Semedo, Lindelöf, Rúben Dias, Renato Sanches, André Horta, Nuno Santos, João Carvalho, Diogo Gonçalves, Gonçalo Guedes and now, Keaton Parks.
