At the end of the match, against CSKA Moscow (defeat by 0-2), Bruno Varela,  who came back to the goal, talked about the incidents.

“CSKA scored twice and we didn't. He never had the match uncontrolled, but we have never created a real danger.

"The last two seasons were very positive in the Champions League. This one wasn't, perhaps we could have done a little bit more. We are out and now it's time to think about the Championship", he added.

The goalkeeper assumes the focus on the internal competitions...

"Now it's time to change the focus, we have an important match on Sunday, for Liga NOS, at home, in front of our people", explained the 23-year old player. 

About the eventual repercussions of the elimination, Bruno Varela was clear.

“This group has demonstrated that overcomes the difficulties well. The Champions was an objective we had, but it will not undermine us".
