A dream come true with Benfica's jersey

Against V. Setúbal, in matchday 12 of 2017/18 edition of the Liga NOS, Jonas scored his 100th goal with Benfica's shirt, a milestone that only one foreign player (Óscar Cardozo) had managed to reach and surpass in the history of the Club.

At Benfica since the 2014/15 season, Jonas scored his first goal on October 5th, 2014, against Arouca (4-0), at Estádio da Luz. Three years later, he is already Benfica's second best foreign goal scorer ever.

“It were 100 goals with this jersey, at a great Club. A dream that is being fulfilled and I'm very happy. I'm well cared here and this night was very special for me and for all and I will keep it forever in my life”, confessed Jonas, named Man of the Match in the victory over the "sadinos" (6-0), speaking to BTV.

It was with a header in the 39th minute that "Pistolas" celebrated for the hundredth time playing for the Club. 

With the brace scored in the match against  o V. Setúbal – he would score again in the second half –, Jonas already has 101 goals for Benfica, but analyzing just the first one hundred, the goals are distributed in the following way: 79 in the Liga NOS, 9 in the League Cup, 8 in the Portuguese Cup, 2 in the Champions League and 2 in the Super Cup.

Looking at the 100 goals for the prism of the stages where they occurred, it can be observed that Jonas scored 66 at Estádio da Luz and 34 away from home.

By opponent, Nacional and Belenenses (10) were the teams that conceded more goals with the signature of Jonas, followed by (9), Estoril and Moreirense (7).

Jonas is top goal scorer of the Liga NOS, with 15 goals in 12 rounds, scoring for 10 consecutive league games.
