After a short break granted by the coaching staff in the Christmas season, the player of Benfica's professional football squad have returned to work in Seixal.

Grimaldo and Raúl only ran on the pitch, separately from the group led by Rui Vitória.

Duly authorized by the Benfica SAD, only the forward Gabriel did not present himself at Caixa Futebol Campus for the training session that, in the morning of Wednesday, served to prepare the clash with V. Setúbal, for the final round of the CTT League Cup group stage, on Friday, December 29, at Estádio do Bonfim.

Benfica has no chance of going through to the semifinals, but can finish its participation with two draws and a win over the "sadinos", who are already qualified.

This match closes 2017 and launches 2018, a new year in which the eagles aim to fly high, with focus on winning the unprecedented fifth consecutive league title.
