Salvio: "We have to keep believing"

Salvio analyzed the match in which Benfica dropped three points against Portimonense in matchday 15 of the Liga NOS, pointing out that the red squad wants to get back to winning ways and to the good performances against Rio Ave on Sunday.

"The team entered the game on the back foot, we lacked some depth and we were unlucky to have conceded two own-goals. We cannot look at that so much, but we must check the mistakes we are making during this season", explained the Argentinean winger in the flash interview area.

Salvio was one of Rui Vitória's bets at the beginning of the second half. The winger reinforced the confidence he has in the red squad and he set the tone for Benfica's next match.

"The supporters want to win as we do. I apologize to our supporters, but we need to be together because we all want the win and we must keep believing. I believe in my teammates, in our team and we hope in the next game to return to the victories and the great displays that we had accustomed the Benfica fans to", he finished.

Benfica steps onto the pitch on Sunday (January 6) to face Rio Ave in a match from Round 16 of the Liga NOS. The kick-off is scheduled for 5:30 pm at Estádio da Luz.
