Seferovic flew over the wall


With the brace in the match against Rio Ave, the Swiss forward beat his goalscoring personal best representing Benfica.

Haris Seferovic is breaking his personal records in his second season playing for Benfica. With the brace scored in the match against Rio Ave, for matchday 16 of the Liga NOS, he has already scored nine goals in 2018/19, surpassing the seven goals scored last season.

The first brace

In the afternoon of  January 6, 2019, Seferovic scored a brace for the first time while representing Benfica. Rio Ave was the victim of the Eagles' number 14. He helped in the 4-2 win, with the goals scored and the assist for the João Félix, and he was considered the Man of the Match.


The first goal from Seferovic in the encounter against Rio Ave was one of the most beautiful goal of the match.

Seferovic's second goal in the match against the team from the north of the country occurred on a counter-attack play carried out by the red squad.
