The volleyball National Team qualified for the 2019 European Championship after beating Croatia by 3-1 on Sunday. Filip Cveticanin, a Benfica player, was pivotal in the Portuguese national team win.

The Portuguese beat Croatia by 3-1 (25-15, 19-25, 26-24 and 25-16), in the Multiusos de Gondomar and regained the top spot of  Pool D from the 2019 European Championship qualification..
