The "Football Money League" study, carried out by the Deloitte consultant, places Sport Lisboa e Benfica on the European top 30 by the third year in a row. The same study highlights a new leader: Real Madrid dethrones Manchester United at the highest position.

The study applies to 2017/18, season when the reds have presented 150,7 million of euros in revenues. In detail, it is easy to understand the importance of the TV rights62,6 million. We should not forget that the Club owns the transmission of its games, held at Estádio da Luz in Liga NOS, with its TV channel, BTV40,5 million come from the games ticketing and 47,6 million from the commercial component, with merchandising sales and sponsors included, with special prominence to adidas and Fly Emirates.

The study indicates that, in 2017/18, the average attendance at the Cathedral was 53 209 spectators.

On social media, Benfica is also well represented. On Facebook 3,7 million followers; on Twitter 1,2 million and Instagram 1 million.
