João Félix paved– with a header– the way for Benfica's trouncing of Boavista (5-1). The youngster who made his debut this season in the first team was named Man of the Match, on a night in which he reached the five-goal in the mark in the Liga NOS.
"It is very good, I am very happy. Prizes are only won when the team is fine. When the team is fine, the individual players stand out”, highlighted the 19-year-old forward in statements to BTV, adding: “I am very happy that my work is being recognized and I want to continue like this to receive more awards like this one."
"We put in a good performance. We had lost the last match [in the League Cup] and we wanted to transmit the image that we are together and we are fine. That is what we did. We scored a lot of goals, that is also what the public enjoys, and we are all going home happy", he analyzed.
Named Benfica's best player on the pitch, the 19-year-old forward scored the first goal and he provided the assist for the third, Seferovic's goal. To score and to assist?
"I think everyone prefers to score goals and I am no exception", he confessed.
