Pizzi: "We are strong and we are still in the fight"

Pizzi took the corner that resulted in Benfica's third goal and contributed for the Reds' win over Aves (0-3) on matchday 22 of the Liga NOS. Voted the Man of the Match, the number 21 jersey of the eagles was pleased with the distinction but stressed that what matters is the team.

"The most important thing is the team. I'm glad I was named the Man of the Match, but it is not something I am too worried about. The important thing, as  we showed here since the first moment, it is to a great team, with personality, very strong with and without ball possession, and I think that that was crucial for our game and for our victories. Like we have been saying: we are here, we are strong and we continue in the fight", ha claimed.

"Aves has good players, it has been recovering in the league table and I think we entered the game on the front foot and we ended up breaking the deadlock and also the strategy that our opponent might have. They play with a line of five defender and it is always complicated to enter that space, but we entered the match very strong, with a will to win, with a very positive mentality and the team is to be congratulated, because it was a great win in a very difficult match", he said.
