The Benfica midfielder praised Benfica's "good display" in the home match against Galatasaray.
21 February 2019, 22h51
“It was a difficult match as we expected. Galatasaray has great players, with a lot of quality, who like to have ball possession and we already knew it was going to be difficult from the start. We entered strong, confident, eager to win. Unfortunately, we didn't win, but we did the most important thing, which was to qualify for the next round. We are very happy with that”, claimed the Portuguese midfielder from Benfica, that had won by -1-2 in Istanbul.
“Our mission is to win every match. We were strong, we had many opportunities to score goals, but we must congratulate the team because we did a very safe match. We are to be congratulated, we have put in a good performance”, he guaranteed.
On the eve of finding out the next opponent in the Europa League, Pizzi confessed that that is not- for the time being – the Reds' main focus.
“We will think game by game, round by round because the most important thing is to think about Monday's game [against GD Chaves] and later on we will be thinking about the Europa League and what is coming up ”, he claimed.
