A 100% winning record in the last nine rounds of the Liga NOS led Benfica to the top spot of the league. Apart from being the leader in the major leagues of the Old Continent with the best performance in the last two months, it is also the most complete in the group of leaders of Europe's top 10 leagues.

The team coached by Bruno Lage has the best attack of the Liga NOS, the top scorertop assist provider and most valuable young player of the competition.

Looking at what is happening in the other nine leagues of UEFA's, we see that Barcelona, in Spain, Juventus, in Italy, and Shakhtar Donetsk, in Ukraine, are the teams that come closest to the eagles.

Outside of the hard core are, for now, the leaders Manchester City (England), Dortmund (Germany), PSG (France), Zenit (Russia), Genk (Belgium) and Basaksehir (Turkey).

Benfica-Nacional

With 66 goals scored in 24 rounds (2,75 per game), Benfica is the most prolific team of the Liga NOS. Seferovic, with 15 accurate strikes (and none from the penalty spot!), lead the list of top scorers of the competition, which has Pizzi as the best assist provider: with the assist for Rafa's goal in the clássico won away at FC Porto, the number 21 jersey of the reds as already made 14 assist.

BarcelonaJuventus e Shakhtar, in the Spanish, Italian and Ukrainian leagues, respectively, are at the top of the league table and also boast the best attack (66, 55 and 49 goals); and also have the top scorers (Messi, 25 goals; Cristiano Ronaldo, 19; Júnior Moraes, 15) and the best assist providers (Messi, 11 assists; Cristiano Ronaldo, 8; Taison, 9).

Classico

In this specific context of analysis of the leaders from Europe's top leagues, Benfica also meets another factor that makes the difference and puts the team ahead of Barcelona, Juventus, and Shakhtar: it has the most valuable young player of the major domestic competition.

João Félix (19 years old) scored his 9th goal in the Liga NOS in the recent trip to Estádio do Dragão and, in the overall stats, he adds four assists to that record. All in, the forward nurtured at Caixa Futebol Campus has had a direct hand in 13 of 66 goals of the eagles in the Liga NOS.
