The excellent win clinched by Benfica in the home match against Eintracht Frankfurt (4-2) led to three of his players being chosen for the best eleven of the Europa League quarterfinals 1st leg: Rúben Dias, Gedson and João Félix, all nurtured at Caixa Futebol Campus, have earned a distinction from UEFA.

Day 1 of a new journey

The 2025/26 preseason officially kicked off on Monday, July 14, with medical checks and physical tests between Hospital da Luz and Benfica Campus. In an atmosphere of reunions, renewed energy, and focus on what comes next, 28 players are present on this first day of work of Sport Lisboa e Benfica. Preparation will intensify on Tuesday, July 15, with the first pre-season training session scheduled for the morning, followed by another session in the afternoon at Benfica Campus.
