Kings with reinforced power

One of the objective consequences of Benfica's 6-0 win over Marítimo on matchday 30 of the Liga NOS was the strengthening of the power of Benfica's assist kings in the competition. Pizzi, André Almeida, and Grimaldo continue to break records and, together, they have amassed 36 assists in the championship.

 Knowing that the eagles have 87 goals scored in the Liga NOS, the assists provided by these three players represent 41,38% of the goals scored by the reds.

Among the kings, Pizzi is the one who stands out the most, and in the trashing of Marítimo, he delivered another assist for the early goal from João Félix. The eagles' number  21 is carrying out one of the best seasons of his career and is the leader of assists in the Liga NOS and in the major European leagues. Pizzi has 17 assists and has also racked up 10 accurate strikes in the Championship.

In the match against Maritimo, André Almeida did what he had already done on matchday 10 against Tondela, in other words, two assists in the same match. The eagles' right-back has already amassed 10 assists and is Benfica's 2nd-best assist provider in the Portuguese top flight.

On the other side of the pitch, Grimaldo finished the match against Marítimo with 100 actions with the ball and nine defensive actions, according to the platform GoalPoint. Of the seven crosses he made, three were effective, one of which ended in a goal.

This is the best season of the number 3 in terms of goals and assists. In 2018/19 he has already racked up seven accurate strikes and nine assists.

The recipients of the passes

Of the 36 assists delivered by the assist kings, 10 were finished by (top scorer of the Liga NOS with 19 goals), seven were seized by João Félix, four by Rafa and Pizzi, three by Jonas, two by Rúben Dias and one by Samaris, Ferro, Jardel, Grimaldo, Cervi and Salvio.
