After another undisputed win, this time against Portimonense (5-1) in a match from round 32 of the Liga NOS, the men under Bruno Lage are just two finals away from the main goal: regaining the national title.

At the top of the League, Benfica is a leader with big figures, and the Official Website shows you how and why. In 32 matches, 14 finished with a win by four or more goal, Benfica has the best attack of the Liga NOS with 96 goals scoring, being that 65 were scored with Bruno Lage at the helm.

The eagles also have in their ranks the top scored of the Liga NOS. Seferovic, the Swiss striker, has already racked up 21 goals with an eagle on his chest in the Championship.

As far as records and great marks are concerned, there are more players in the spotlight. Rafa is one of those players, Benfica's second-best goal scorer in the Championship. The number 27, who had already reached the highest number of goals in his career in the Liga NOS on matchday 31, scored another brace and raised to 15 the number of goals scored in the Championship. The Reds' 3rd-best goal scorer in the competition is João Félix: 13 goals in his debut season in the top-flight of another player nurtured at Caixa Futebol Campus.

For Benfica to reach these big figures there have to be high-quality players providing assists. Pizzi continues to rack up assists and against Portimonense, he delivered another perfect pass. Pizzi's 19th assist in the Liga NOS culminated in the 3rd strike of the reds against Portimonense.

André Almeida also continues to climb. In the last round, the Reds' right-back amassed his 12th assist in the Liga NOS. First, he served Seferovic and then he delivered the cross for Jonas's 300th goal in his career.

Europe's best goal average

Since Bruno Lage assumed the role of Benfica's first team coach, the eagles began a high-level campaign in the Championship. Apart from recovering from a seven-point deficit to now being two points clear at the top of the competition, Benfica amassed 16 wins and one draw in 17 matches, scored 65 of 96 goals scored and has an average of 3 goals per match (3,82 in the spell with Bruno Lage), the best record in Europe's top 10 leagues.

Half a thousand shots and more than 15 thousand passes

Benfica has 500 shots carried out in this edition of the Liga NOS. From those shots, 212 (42,4%) were on target, according to the platform Wyscout.

The eagles remain the team that carries out more passes in the Liga NOS (15 516), around 456,5 per match and with an accuracy percentage of  83,6%, the highest of the competition.
