Seferovic: "Proud to be champion and top scorer"

Seferovic was crowned Top Scorer of the Liga NOS, with 23 goals. What does it mean to be the top scorer of the Liga NOS?

"It’s very important for me. I’ve never scored so many goals. I'm very proud to be the top scorer and to have won the championship. I only thought about that [becoming the top scorer] in the last two matches. The first objective was always to win the Championship with Benfica."

What Bruno Lage said when he arrived

"Game by game, day by day, working, believing. This was the coach’s main message. To always give all have in practice! It changed us a lot. It was very important."

The formation freed players

"We believed in ourselves. We started playing with a formation with two forwards, we played freer. We always focused ourselves our games. We want to win every match. For us, it is the same to play against Tondela, against Sporting, against FC Porto, or against any other club. We always want to win. We were the best team. Since the gaffer changed the formation, we were freer."

4x4x2 fosters goals

"For me, it’s easier to play with two strikers, but each coach has his system and, if it is not possible to play, I have to accept it. I think it was also the best for the team."

Goal 100 "without thinking"

"We knew we could score the goal 100 in the match against Santa Clara, but I stepped onto the pitch to score without thinking I would score the goal 100."
