Alex Grimaldo and João Félix, from Benfica, are a part of the 18 best players in the 2018/19 Europa League, competition which was conquered by Chelsea.
The Benfica’s left-back and forward have deserved the preference of a UEFA’s technical board and were included in a strict group which only encompasses players from the finalists Chelsea and Arsenal, from the English Premier League, and from Eintracht Frankfurt, of Bundesliga.
Grimaldo participated in five matches in Europa League and scored a tremendous goal in the victory over Dinamo Zagreb (3-0) at Estádio da Luz, in the 2nd leg of the Last 16.
João Félix played six matches and scored a hat-trick in the 1st leg of the quarter-finals against Eintracht Frankfurt (4-2 win), at the Cathedral.
