Fernando Pimenta, from Benfica, clinched the gold medal for Portugal em K1 5000 meters this Sunday, in the Canoe World Cup held in Duisburg, in Germany.

The canoeist from the eagles, who had already won the bronze medal in K1 500 meter on Saturday, finished the race in 19:39.656 and climbed onto the first place of the podium in the last event of the competition on German waters.
