Portugal celebrates the Nations League triumph

Portugal is the winner of the first edition of the Nations League! With Rúben Dias insurmountable in the defense (was named the man of the match) and Rafa handing pace and explosion to the attack (as of 75'), the Portugal squad beat the Netherlands by 1-0, after a combination between former Benfica players ( Bernardo Silva and Gonçalo Guedes) nurtured at Caixa Futebol Campus.

Portugal's starting XI: Rui Patrício; Nélson Semedo, Rúben Dias, José Fonte and Raphael Guerreiro; Danilo, William Carvalho (Rúben Neves at 90'+3') and Bruno Fernandes (João Moutinho at 82'); Bernardo Silva, Gonçalo Guedes (Rafa at 75') and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Substitutes: José Sá, Beto, João Cancelo, Mário Rui, Rúben Neves, João Moutinho, Pizzi, Rafa, Diogo Jota, Dyego Sousa and João Félix.

"Very happy, it was my first final with the National Team"

Rúben Dias (defender): "I'm very happy with Today's win, it was my first final with Portugal senior national team. We had incredible support. To play a competition like this with strong support from the Portuguese fans makes me very happy."

"We wanted to go down in history"

Rafa (attacker): "We got what we wanted, which was to beat this trophy. We worked hard for this! We always like to win and we always play to win, no player likes to lose. It was this competition's first edition, we also wanted to win to go down in history."
