Fernando Pimenta won, this Wednesday morning, the silver medal in K1 1000 meters at the European Game that are taking place in Minsk, in Belarus.

The canoeist from Benfica, the current world champion in K1 1000 meters, finished with the time of  3:31.048 minutes and was in the lead during a large part of the event, but ended up losing the first spot to the Hungarian Balint Kopazs.

With this podium, the benfiquista won the tenth medal for Portugal and is now preparing to compete in the K1 5000 meters final, scheduled for Thursday (June 27).
