Salvio, the Argentinean midfielder from the professional football squad of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, turns 28 this Friday, July 13.

The Argentinean international is one of the four-time champion players of the squad and one of the players who contributed the most for the achievement of the unprecedented feat in the history of the club.

He arrived at Benfica in 2010/11, on loan from Atletico Madrid, and he returned in 2012/13. Since then, titles, goals, assists, unforgettable dribbles and breathtaking plays.

Salvio deserved the confidence of Sampaoli and was present in the Russia World Cup, defending the colors of Argentina.

Salvio is back home!

Salvio visited the Benfica Campus, where he reencountered old teammates, such as Pizzi or Grimaldo, and was accompanied by Jorge Jesus, his first coach with the Sacred Mantle on. The hug to President Rui Costa was one of many that the Argentinean international forward, now at Boca Juniors, received. He represented Benfica for eight seasons, between 2010/11 and 2018/19, and won 14 trophies: 5 National Championships, 4 League Cups, 2 Portuguese Cups and 3 Super Cups.
