To be here is a dream that became reality, it’s amazing to be in such a big club.” Tyronne Ebuehi has described his first days with Benfica.

“Everything is going well and it’s being a good experience. We are working a lot and it’s a different reality”, assumed the right defender to the journalists present at St. George's Park, where the reds will remain until July 20, Friday.

Ebuehi has also revealed his first conversation with the head coach Rui Vitória...

“The coach told me to do what I’m used to do, to work hard and to be important for the team. I got to work a lot, train hard and we’ll see what happens. To be in the first team is my goal, but I have to show my abilities during the training sessions”, remembered the Nigerian International.

“The speed is one of my qualities. I’m strong at the defense, in the 1x1 situations I’m strong and fast. For a right defender, I’m an offensive player”, he said.

At the age of 22, his goals are well clear: Ebuehi fights for a spot in the starting XI, but he is aware of the strong competition.

“My teammates’ quality is clearly above the club where I was playing at [Den Haag, in Holland], but that’s what I was expecting, because Benfica is a great club with many good players. André Almeida? He's a good player and he will make me improve”, he concluded.
