Cervi: "To score at Luz is always beautiful"

With a left-footed shot inside the penalty box, Cervi sealed Benfica's triumph over Fenerbahçe in the first leg of the Champions League 3rd qualifying round. The number 11 saw "a great match" from the red team in the debut in 2018/19.

"We made a great match. We had some good plays in the first half, but in the second half we played better and we went searching for the goal we needed. Fortunately, I was able to score it. Then we went looking for another one, I think we deserved it, but it did not happen", analyzed the winger.

"To score a goal was a huge joy, also because I was able to help the team. To score goals at Luz is always very beautiful. I want to do a great season and help the Club", added the Argentine.

Foreseeing the clash from the second leg, Cervi feels that Benfica must do its part, regardless of the atmosphere that the Turkish fans may create at their stadium.

"They are going to give everything they got, but we believe in our work and we are going to be ready for that match. Regardless of the atmosphere, we must do our job", he said.
