Gedson Fernandes has completed a great match once again, this Tuesday night, against PAOK (1-1). An unfair result, according the young midfielder.

"We deserved a better result. That was not the result we were expecting, maybe there was some physical wear. We got to look forward and give our best in the next match", he said in the mixed zone.

Has been a regular bet of Rui Vitória, to whom he wants to “respond with work”.

"I’ve been feeling good. The team welcomed me well and gave me the support I need. I have been giving everything for this jersey and for my teammates. If the team is ok, then I am ok, just like the opposite”, he finished.

Benfica fought until the end for a different outcome in the last 16 of the Club World Cup, but after extra time they fell to Chelsea (1-4), thus ending their journey in the first edition of the competition in the United States of America. In a game that was interrupted in the 86th minute due to the threat of a thunderstorm and ended almost five hours after the kick-off, Di María leveled the score at 90'+5' (1-1), taking the match into 30 minutes of extra time, during which time the result hung in the balance for the English at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
