He is, according to the data of the Playmaker Stats platform, the youngest player ever to come out from the bench and to score in his first Lisbon derby, at the age of 18, 9 months and 16 days.
“I shivered. It’s the consequence of my work, I’ve been working for this, to play. I have to thank the bet they have been making on me, I’ve been corresponding and I want to keep doing things well to have more chances like these”, he wished.
In accordance with the same platform, it is now 41 years now since such a young Benfica’s player scored against Sporting – in the National Championship – in the debut. The last one was Chalana, back in 1977, at the age of 17.
“We were always better, creating more chances on the second half, we managed to assume the match a create several goal situations. The goalkeeper of Sporting should have been the man of the match”, analyzed the young player.
