The Spaniard Mateu Lahoz, 41 years old, was appointed UEFA's Referees Committee to whistle the Benfica-Bayern at 8 pm on Wednesday at Estádio da Luz, a clash from week 1 of the Champions League Group E.

International since 2011, Mateu Lahoz will have Pau Cebrián Devís e Roberto del Palomar as assistants. The additional assistants are Javier Estrada and Alejandro Hernandez. In the role of the fourth official will be Teodoro Sobrino.
