A Sunday evening marked by the triumph of SL Benfica over CD Aves, an encounter from matchday 5 of the Liga NOS, a moment that the Club took to honor some of its athletes.


At half-time, on the pitch of the Estádio da Luz, the U-19 Athletics team  has honored– it became European Champion in Castellón, Spain– and the canoeist of the Club, Fernando Pimenta (World Champion in K1 1000 meters and K1 5000 meters), Joana Vasconcelos and Teresa Portela.

Trained at Sport Lisboa e Benfica, Renato Sanches returned home in August 2024, on a one-year loan from PSG. Throughout the 2024/25 season, the midfielder made in Benfica played in 21 games and scored 1 goal, making a significant contribution to the club's 8th League Cup victory. SL Benfica wishes Renato Sanches all the best.
