The Argentinean International arrives to strengthen the SL Benfica basketball team's position 1.

Coming from the Paraguayan team of Olimpia Kings, the new signing talked in exclusive to the Official Site about joining the Reds' basketball team.
“As people know, Argentina is country crazy for football and Benfica has always signed Argentinean players, which makes us know a lot about the Club and the city of Lisbon. It has a huge number of fans and constantly fights to be at the highest level in sport”, claimed Cantero.
At the age of 36, Juan Pablo Cantero returns to Europe after having played for two seasons (2005/2006 and 2006/2007) in Italy.
“I have a lot of expectations, I come to a team that is doing things very well, that shows in every game the quality and talent it has. May God allow that to continue the whole season.”, he wished.
Juan Pablo Cantero has a sporting path in basketball in his native country, with spells at the Italians clubs of Dynamo Sassari and RB Montecatini Terme. In recent months, the athlete has represented the Paraguayans of Olimpia Kings, a club that has achieve five wins in the South American League.
