Benfica SAD informed the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM) of the acquisition of the forward Carlos Vinícius for five seasons (until 2024).

The contract signed with the former player from Napoli, for which eagles pay 17 million euros, includes a release clause set at 100 million euros.

After carrying out loan spells at Rio Ave and Monaco last season (2018/19), the Brazilian forward describes this new step in his professional career as "a dream come true".

"My goal, like my teammates, is to win what the club has set, so I think if I set the same goal, things will also go well on an individual level", he assured.
