Benfica's canoeists Fernando Pimenta, João Ribeiro, Messias Baptista, Joana Vasconcelos and Teresa Portela have become champions in various categories.

Fernando Pimenta became National Champion in K1 1000 meters. At a collective level, together with his teammate João Ribeiro, he achieved the first place in K2 1000 meters.
In the K1 500 meters category, the podium was totally benfiquista: João Ribeiro finished first, Fernando Pimenta second and Messias Baptista third.
The canoeist Messias Baptista clinched National Champion title in K1 500 meters in the U-23 category and K1 200 meters in the two categories, U-23 and Seniors, a category in which João Ribeiro clinched the second place.
In the women's event, the benfiquista pair Joana Vasconcelos and Teresa Portela (in the photo) were also in the spotlight, winning in K2 500 meters.
Individually, Joana Vasconcelos reached the highest place of the podium in K1 500 meters and third place in K1 200 meters, where Teresa Portela secured the second place.
