Benfica returned to training, this Monday, to prepare the clash with Fiorentina in the International Champions Cup. After a day off, Bruno Lage opened the doors of the training session to Media in the first 15 minutes.

 Under the scorching heat of New York, the training session began with a light run around the pitch. Note to Jardel: the captain was always at the forefront leading the group and setting the pace.

The practice continued with an exercise that divided the group in two. Here, the coaching staff asked for quick ball and position changes, always at the first touch, with some players in the middle, working as pass option, receiving the ball to improve the one-two combinations.

Benfica locks horns with Fiorentina at 8:00 pm on Wednesday (1:00 on Thursday in  Mainland Portugal ), at the Red Bull Arena. This is the team's second match in the International Champions Cup.
