This Tuesday evening (dawn in Portugal) was special for the Portuguese people and Benfiquistas that live in Newark. The trophy of the 37th league title visited the branch n.º 21 of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, that dressed up to welcome it.

The first moment of joy for the several hundred people who filled Sport Newark and Benfica was the arrival of Luisão to the dinner that took place under the motto: “O jantar dos Campeões (Dinner of Champions)”. The former center-back of the Club, accompanied by the vice-presidents Domingos Almeida Lima and Alcino António, was always available with a smile to greet, take photographs or give autographs.
