🎥 Gabriel: “Confidence in our work and in our mentality”

The center-midfielder Gabriel previewed, in a Press Conference, the Super Cup derby against Sporting, scheduled for 20:45 pm on Sunday, at Estádio Algarve. But before he commented the triumph in the International Champions Cup by the Reds.

“Our motivation comes from the result we've just learned [winning the ICC], but also the displays and results we did in this mini-tournament”, he claimed.

Gabriel will return to the official matches against Sporting, curiously the last opponent he faced in 2018/19 before getting injured.

“It's special because it's a final and an important game. About the injury, it's in the past, there's no fear. I just hope it doesn't happen again. We'll do everything we can to come out with a positive result”, he assured.

The preseason of both teams was quite different in terms of the results obtained..

“I know what we did; I don't know what Sporting did. I have great faith in our work and our mentality. We have to be confident in ourselves and in our work”, he said.

The Super Cup marks the start of the new season, it is an opportunity to win a trophy and it is a derby.

“For me, the next match is always the most important one and being a derby… It's a match that kicks off the season and it's very good and fundamental to start winning”, he stressed.
