Rafael Alexandre dos Santos Afonso, a 16-year-old center-back (25.06.2003) penned a professional contract with Sport Lisboa e Benfica.

Rafael Afonso

The Under-17 player arrived at the Club in 2014, coming from Casa Pia AC, where he began his sporting career. Last season, he played for  Benfica U-16, where he made 24 matches and scored 1 goal.

For Portugal youth national teams, Rafael Afonso has already amassed 14 caps between the U-15s (4 matches) and the Sub-16s (10 matches).
