In the final of the 8th edition of the competition, the men under Joel Rocha beat AD Fundão.

The Benfica futsal team won the 8th edition of the City of Castelo Branco Tournament. The Reds faced and beat AD Fundão by 3-2 in the final of the preseason competition.
Chaguinha (2) and Bruno Coelho scored for the Reds.
Benfica's starting lineup: André Sousa, André Coelho, Bruno Coelho, Robinho and Fernandinho.
Officially, the season will start with the eternal derby. Benfica, the National Champion, and Sporting, the Portuguese Cup winner, will face on August 30 (Friday, at 8:45 pm, at Palácio dos Desportos de Torres Novas) to compete for the first official trophy of the season: the Super Cup.
