Three benfiquistas in the squad list of Portugal


Players from the eagles in Fernando Santos' options for the next two Euro 2020 qualifying matches.

Fernando Santos, coach of Portugal, has named three Benfica's players for the next two qualifiers (2020 European Cup). Rúben Dias, Pizzi and Rafa.

The National Team will play away both against Serbia (September 7) and Lithuania (September 10), at 7:45 pm (Portuguese time).

Current European Champions, Portugal competes in Group B along with Serbia, Lithuania, Ukraine and Luxembourg.


Goalkeepers: Beto (Goztepe), José Sá (Olympiacos) and Rui Patrício (Wolverhampton);

Defenders: João Cancelo (Manchester City), Nélson Semedo (Barcelona), José Fonte (Lille), Pepe (FC Porto), Rúben Dias (Benfica), Daniel Carriço (Seville), Raphael Guerreiro (Borussia Dortmund) and Mário Rui (Napoli);

Midfielders: Danilo Pereira (FC Porto), Rúben Neves (Wolverhampton), William Carvalho (Bétis), Bruno Fernandes (Sporting), João Moutinho (Wolverhampton), Pizzi (Benfica) and Renato Sanches (Lille);

Forwards: Bernardo Silva (Manchester City), Daniel Podence (Olympiacos), Gonçalo Guedes (Valencia), Rafa (SL Benfica), Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus), Diogo Jota (Wolverhampton) and João Félix (Atlético Madrid).
