He was one of the four Benfica academy graduates who made their debut in the Champions League. Ferro played the 90 minutes in a match in which he considered the result (1-2 loss against RB Leipzig) “unfair” given the opportunities created by the Reds.  

“They didn't create that many opportunities, we created more. They ended up being more effective, they seized the opportunities they had and they were luckier. The result ends up being unfair”, he claimed.

About facing players such as Timo Werner, the 22-year-old defender commented: “They're renowned players, national team players. They have other dynamics. It's great to play against these players, but whoever plays at Benfica has to play the same way, whether it's against Leipzig or any other team.”
