He was on the pitch a little over half an hour (31’), time enough to break the deadlock at Estádio da Luz and to be elected the best player of the Benfica-V. Setúbal match (1-0). Vinícius devalued the individual award, preferring to highlight the "teamwork".
“It's not about coming on and scoring the winner, what matters is teamwork. I'm happy with the goal and the victory. When I arrived at Benfica this group embraced me and left me at ease, and when that happens the tendency is for things to go well. Thank God things have been going well for me and the team. With the team and with the supporters, we will be stronger”, claimed the striker in statements with BTV.
“I'm the kind of player who, when on the pitch, tries to give everything for the team, always defending it. That's part of my work philosophy”, assured the 24-year-old Brazilian striker.
