In 2015, already in Portugal, Ivan Zlobin joined Benfica. Four years later, the goalkeeper returns to Russia with the Sacred Mantle and in a Champions League environment.

"I'm proud to be back in Russia representing such a big club as Benfica. The only thing I expect from this match against Zenit is to win, to go home with the three points", claimed Zlobin in the Press conference, alongside the coach Bruno Lage, at the Saint Petersburg Stadium, after the team's pre-match training session, on the eve of the match against Zenit on matchday 2 of Group G.
