THE PRESIDENT'S STATEMENT

In the mixed zone of the Saint Petersburg Stadium, after the match against Zenit, the President of Sport Lisboa e Benfica reaffirmed to the media that the eagles are not defeated and that they have the quality to win in any stadium.

“Any Benfica fan should be unhappy and sad right now. In the dressing room, where the players are, it is expressly forbidden to think that we are defeated. This team has value to do more and better, and in these four games that are left - in a very balanced group - we will fight for what we believe. We'll fight for our goals because we believe in the players we have”, he stressed.

LLuís Filipe Vieira also left a word to the Benfiquistas.

“To all Benfiquistas we say: we are sad, but at these times we have to assume, raise our heads and believe in what we are doing. We're sure we're on the right track. We have the strength and quality to do better and win at any stadium”, he finished.
