🎥 Ferro renews contract until 2024

FERRO IN AN INTERVIEW

A talent nurtured and developed at Benfica, the center-back Ferro renewed his contract with the Club this Thursday. The contract was extended until 2024.

The dream come true

"I never imagined [reaching Benfica's first team]. I always had that dream, but with 8/9 years I was far from imagining that. No doubt it's a dream come true. The experience is being incredible. Everything's happening so fast, that sometimes I can't believe it myself. But this is what I've prepared for and I prepare for every day. The support of the fans and the whole dressing room has been fantastic."

Rúben as partner in the center of the defense

"It's really good. I've been sharing the pitch with Rúben for many years. He's always been a great partner, he's a great leader, he helped me, just as I helped him. It's good to meet again."

The call-up to the National Team

"It was a surprise and a dream come true. I met new players I didn't know personally. It was an enriching experience and it's a dream to return to the national team."

The contract renewal

"It's very good! Benfica's bet on me is spectacular. I just have to thank the club for everything, I hope to continue to match expectations and give joy to our supporters."
