Location Pavilion.º 2
Benfica's starting lineup Rapha, André Lopes, Wohlfi, Ivo Casas, Hugo Gaspar, Marc Honoré and Tiago Violas
Substitutes Afonso Guerreiro, Théo Lopes, Zelão, Japa and Nuno Pinheiro
1st set 25-18
2nd set 32-30
3rd set 25-18

Marcel Matz (Benfica Coach):I think that our team played well. In the 2nd set, the score was at 21-18, to lose that lead was dangerous because we just needed to win that set to qualify to the next round, but we achieved the first goal which was to clinch the win and of course the two sets that would hand us the qualification for the 2nd round. So, the players are to be congratulated. The team carried out a tough cycle of four matches in six days, but all the players were very well physically and mentally.”
