Chiquinho was one of the choices of Bruno Lage for Benfica's starting XI, and the number 19 didn't disappoint. He delivered the assist for Vinícius' second goal and was one of the standout players in the Eagles' win over Portimonense by 4-0.

“To play here, in this Stadium and with this supporters, it was a dream I'd had since I was a kid. I felt that the fans enjoyed the display, that they were happy with what I did on the pitch and that's very rewarding for me. I was very happy for that”, praised Chiquinho in statements with BTV.

After a day off, Benfica's professional football team trained at Waters Sportsplex in Tampa on Thursday, June 26, with their sights set on the round of 16 of the Club World Cup.
