STATEMENTS

Sealed deal! Defending the Sacred Mantle since January 2016, Grimaldo extended his contract with Sport Lisboa e Benfica until 2023.

"This is a very special and important day. I think it's a well-deserved contract renewal after the work done over the years. The agreement was quick because both parties wanted to extend the duration of this contract. I am very happy with this outcome", reacted the left-back in exclusive statements with BTV.

"I'm very happy here, I've always said that, and Benfica is also happy with me. It was very simple to come to an agreement so that today we can make this contract renewal official", completed Grimaldo, who was recently considered by ESPN as one of the best left-backs in the world in 2019.
