🎥 Bruno Lage: “The dynamic of evolution and victories gives us confidence”

“We have to give our best”. This is how Bruno Lage started his preview to Round 14 of the Liga NOS. The clash between Benfica and Famalicão takes place this Saturday at 6 pm, at Estádio da Luz.

Famalicão’s coach [João Pedro Sousa] said at the press conference that the team keeps following the game plan and improving since the beginning of the league. Do you agree? What are their qualities?

Yes, I agree. It’s true that Famalicão didn’t win in the last matches, but scored eight times and that’s hard to find. That turns to light the team’s quality and the process they have been showing since the beginning of the season. They performed very well against FC Porto, Sporting, SC Braga and V. Guimarães. We have to give our best, play good in order to win, that’s our main goal.

When Bruno Lage arrived, Benfica was seven points behind FC Porto on the table. Turned the situation and became champion. What did Benfica learn at that point?

What we learned is that we have to play a game at a time and that things can chance very quickly. This has to be our mindset. The dynamic of evolution and victories is what gives us peace of mind and confidence to go on. IN regard to the way Famalicão plays, we have to be careful when creating plays and use one or two situations from other matches. We are already analyzing Famalicão.
