STATEMENTS

In November, Rúben Dias was considered the Best Defender in the Liga NOS, reached the important mark of 100 games with Benfica and, in that game – against Rio Ave –, scored the goal which gave him the award of best goal in the competition.  

“First things first, I would like to thank the people who voted. No doubt that it had a special meaning as it occurred in game 100, it was a very special moment. It’s not a normal thing, so to speak, but I’m very happy to see my work recognized”, confessed the Portuguese international.

“It’s a lot working hours. But at the end of the day, it’s not only about my move or execution, it’s also about a good assist and the one by Pizzi was excellent”, explained.

With a brace from Duarte Soares, Benfica's Under-19 team drew 2-2 with FC Porto in round 13 of the National Championship qualifying phase and celebrated winning their 26th title in the competition.
