Two goals and one assist made Pizzi the best player on the pitch in the home game against Famalicão (4-0). The Portuguese international was elected the Man of the Match after bagging his 18th goal in 2019/20, the 11th in the Liga NOS.

“I was fortunate enough to help Benfica with two goals and an assist, but the quality of the team's play has to be highlighted”, said the midfielder.

“The whole team is at a great moment, we're having fun above all with the ball and I think that's the most important thing. When the team is well, the players end up standing out. We put in a great display and once again we managed to finish the year in the first place, which is what we wanted”, he claimed.

On Monday, September 15, Benfica professional football team prepared for the match against Qarabag, corresponding to Matchday 1 of the Champions League (league phase), to be played on Tuesday, September 16, at 8 pm, at Estádio da Luz.
