Portugal Cup: Eagles already know their semi-final opponents


The next round will be played in two legs during the month of February.

FC Famalicão is Benfica’s opponent in the semi-finals of the Portuguese Cup. According to the dates announced by the FPF, the 1st leg will be played on February 5 at Estádio da Luz, while the 2nd leg will be held on February 12

In the next round – and after seeing off CD Cova da Piedade (0-4), FC Vizela (1-2), SC Braga (2-1) and Rio Ave (3-2) – the Reds face FC Famalicão. To reach this stage of the competition, the men under João Pedro Sousa (currently in 3rd place in the Liga NOS) eliminated Lusitânia de Lourosa (5-6 p.k.), Académica (1-0), CD Mafra (3-0) and Paços de Ferreira (0-1). 

The Portuguese Cup final is scheduled for May 24, at Jamor.
