STATEMENTS

Rafael Brito, an 18-year-old (19.01.2002), extended his contract with Sport Lisboa e Benfica until 2024.

"This contract renewal means a lot to me, is the achievement of another goal that I set when I was a child. Today, at the age of 18, I can say that I am more fulfilled, very happy with the renewal and hope to continue walking at Benfica", revealed the player after penning the new contract.

He made his debut with the B team this season when was still 17 and already has carried out 12 matches in the 2nd Division.

So far, Rafael Brito took part in 19 matches in the 2019/20 season: 12 in the 2nd Tier, 1 in the Premier League International Cup, 4 in the UEFA Youth League and 2 in the Liga Revelação.

The midfielder has racked up 25 caps with Portugal's youth teams, divided between U-15 (1), U-16 (6), U-17 (14) and U-19 (4). He took part in the U-17 European Championships in 2019, In the Republic of Ireland.

What a great atmosphere in Amoreira, it's the Red Wave! Visiting the Estádio António Coimbra da Mota for the 32nd and antepenultimate matchday of the Liga Betclic, Benfica imposed themselves and won 1-2. The Eagles' goals on Saturday night, May 3, were scored by Aursnes and Otamendi.

The celebration of the five-time champions at Benfica Campus!

Before and after the match from matchday 21 of the Liga BPI, against Clube de Albergaria (5-0), the women's football team of Benfica was showered with crowds while celebrating their 5th league in a row. The afternoon began with an autograph session attended by hundreds of fans and, at the end of the game, there was time to lift the trophy and take it to the central stand of Benfica Campus Field No. 1, in a celebration in total communion with the fans.
