Purchase of equipment for the National Health Service

A deep sense of solidarity and social responsibility has always been present in our history and identity. We are living, as we all know, in a moment of emergency, which requires concrete actions and contributions of support from all of us, especially from those who are at the front line of the fight against this very serious scourge.

In this sense, joining efforts and within the scope of a joint initiative with the Lisbon City Hall and the University of Lisbon, Sport Lisboa e Benfica and Sport Lisboa e Benfica - Futebol, SAD inform that they have decided to contribute with a sum of one million euros destined to the implementation of a major purchase of medical equipment, including ventilators, masks, and other protective material, to offer to the National Health Service (SNS).

The Sport Lisboa e Benfica Group hopes that this and other civil society initiatives can help to tackle this terrible public calamity and expresses a strong and heartfelt word of solidarity to all Portuguese and a deep appreciation to all health professionals or those who daily provide us with the basic goods and security.
